Cloud and system administrator

Infopro digital is recruiting a Cloud and system administrator for its Automotive brands.Infopro Digital Automotive, a global leader in technical information for the agricultural and heavy-duty automotive industry, supports the automotive after-sales network in optimizing and digitizing their business and commercial processes. The company comprises several subsidiaries based in Europe, the USA, and Australia.

Key tasks: 

As a member of the Group Infrastructure team, which includes nearly 50 employees, you will join the Automotive team (5 members). You will work in a technically rich environment with high availability requirements across nearly 800 virtual systems (both internal hosting and cloud) currently undergoing modernization.

Beyond maintaining the fleet, you will contribute to the transformation project of the information system for client platforms:

  • Migrating all Automotive applications and workloads to the AWS cloud,
  • Modernizing applications and workloads using AWS technologies (ECS, etc.),
  • Strengthening automation using Terraform, Gitlab CI, and Ansible tools,
  •  Enhancing the security of platforms and solutions,
  • Adopting observability methods and defining key technical performance indicators (KPIs),
  •  Managing costs and adopting FinOps practices

Leading change management across a portfolio of about a hundred applications developed  by teams in several European countries.

 Responsibilities

  1. Evolution of the technical architecture and applications 
  • Definition cloud architectures under the governance of the COE (Center of Expertise) team,
  • Reuse of standardized designs and contribution of improvements for reuse across the Infopro Digital Group,
  • Automation of installations and routine maintenance tasks.
  • Documentation of deployed architectures.
  • Upholding and application of standards for quality and security.

You will drive these developments in close collaboration with Software Architects and the Cloud COE (AWS expertise), contributing to both the standardization of the Group Information System and the adoption of collective best practices.
You will continuously interact with development teams and propose improvements to enhance the products you manage, their performance, stability, and architecture.

2.  Maintenance of technical architecture and applications

Actively contributing to the proactive, evolutionary, and corrective maintenance of systems and applications:

  • Operational maintenance (MCO) of applications,
  •  Management of cloud resources and optimization of operating costs,
  • Analysis of performance and optimization of configurations,
  • Resolution of incidents/problems and root causes correction,
  •  Service requests processing,
  • Automation of routine maintenance tasks.

About you: 

  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar role and involvement in an IaC (Infrastructure as Code) project in a cloud environment (systems include Linux, Windows, and/or Docker),
  • Proficient in managing SaaS-mode software with high availability requirements,
  • Rigorous and organized, able to work well independently and in multidisciplinary teams,
  • Quickly adaptable to new environments and capable of upskilling on unfamiliar tools.

Technical skills:

  • Mandatory: AWS Cloud (EC2, ECS, S3, RDS, Aurora, Cloudfront), Linux (Debian), Windows, Docker.
  • Databases: PostgreSQL, MySQL, ElasticSearch, Redis, MongoDB.
  • Middleware: Apache, Tomcat, Glassfish, RabbitMQ.
  • Web Technologies: Apache, HAProxy, NGinx, Traefik.
  • Tools: Ansible, Terraform, Packer, Gitlab, Jira, Confluence, New Relic.
  • Programming Languages: Java, Python, PHP, Golang, Shell.
