A fresh start for Insurance Age
November 2021 was a significant month for Infopro Digital’s title Insurance Age.
Not only did it pivot from being a free-to-access publication into a paid subscription product, it also held its largest in-person event since the Covid-19 pandemic lockdown began in March 2020.
Linked with the move to a paid model – the first time in its 40-year history – Insurance Age has introduced a host of new features, including Market Access, a dynamic and evolving resource focusing on some of the most enduring topics and themes that are driving debate and change in the industry.
Other changes include the introduction of a new Broker Product Hub. The Product Hub hosts all of Insurance Age’s product news and insight to help the market keep abreast of latest developments and to boost business development strategies. The Product Hub is powered by the Insurance Age 2021 Broker Satisfaction Survey – our largest ever sentiment survey, where brokers rated their insurer partners on key service criteria across 11 key lines of business. Additionally, new structured and unstructured reading tools have been introduced to help brokers meet their professional development requirements.
Insurance Age’s Broker Expo took place at the Coventry Building Society Arena on 11 November 2021 and was the largest in-person gathering of UK insurance brokers since 2019. Attended by more than 800 intermediaries and over 70 exhibitors, the event was heralded as the long awaited coming together again of such an important part of the insurance value chain.
Seizing the opportunity to network with so many brokers, the 2021 Broker Expo featured some of largest international names in insurance, such as Ageas, AXA, Hiscox, MS Amlin, QBE and Travelers, alongside a host of smaller specialist MGAs, insurtechs and other providers.
The event also delivered some great content, with 40 speakers, including the Financial Conduct Authority, major broking figures and insurers, debating and discussing topics from ESG to reputational management and consolidation to digitalisation.
To cap off the event, Insurance Age hosted its 2021 UK Broker Awards to finish the day on a high.
